Rain & Toby's Mexican Fiesta Wedding at Curds Hall Barn, Norfolk

Rain & Toby's Mexican Fiesta Wedding at Curds Hall Barn, Norfolk

Some weddings play it safe. This wasn't one of them.

When Rain and Toby came to us, they knew exactly what they wanted, bold, joyful, and full of flavour. A Mexican fiesta at Curds Hall Barn in Norfolk, with food that matched the energy of the day completely.

Curds Hall Barn is one of those Norfolk wedding venues that just works. The dark timber, the fairy lights, the open rafters, it has a warmth to it that makes every celebration feel intimate, even at scale. Rain and Toby leaned into that with vibrant saffron linens, coloured candles, a jaw-dropping suspended floral installation, and a colour palette that felt more Oaxaca than East Anglia. In the best possible way.

For the catering, we built a menu around the fiesta theme without compromising on quality. Canapes included crispy battered fish tacos with guacamole and pico de gallo, birria-style quesatacos with jalapeño and fresh lime, and a loaded nacho tray that caused more than a few queues. The wedding breakfast was a sharing feast, whole slow-cooked meats, vibrant herb-scattered slaws, charred corn salsa, loaded salad bowls, and a table that looked as good as it tasted. Guests helped themselves, passed dishes, topped up their glasses. Exactly the relaxed, communal atmosphere Rain and Toby were after.

That's what we love about themed wedding catering. When the brief is specific, it gives us something to run with. Every element of the menu can tell part of the story, from the garnish on a canape to the way dishes are served.

If you're planning a wedding in Norfolk and want catering that goes beyond the expected, we'd love to hear from you.
